    The Convocational Address at National School of Design

    Typed manuscript of a convocation address which artist K.G. Subramanyan delivered at the National School of Design (NID) during their ‘Silver Jubilee Celebration’ in Ahmedabad in 1986.

    The text was subsequently published as an essay under the title ‘Between Reality and Dream’ in K.G. Subramanyan’s The Magic of Making: Essays on Art and Culture by Seagull Books, Calcutta, in 2007.

    Silver jubilee is a celebration held to mark a 25th anniversary . The anniversary celebrations can be of a wedding anniversary , the 25th year of a monarch ‘s reign or anything that has completed a 25-year mark.
